Great meetings in Chicago on Friday with some of our partners. I met with Lumity, Executive Service Corps, Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. All in advance of our planned launch in the Chicago market.

Boston? Check. San Francisco? Check. Atlanta? CHECK!!!

First, The Boston Globe/Boston.com Do Good Channel launched.

Then The San Francisco Chronicle/SFGate Do Good Channel launched this Monday.

And now, we add The Atlanta Journal Constitution Do Good Channel!!!

We've launch Do Good Channels with the largest local market media platforms in three of the top ten DMAs in the country:

• San Francisco is #5
• Boston is #6
• Atlanta is #9

 

Collectively those three partners generate astonishing numbers:

We’re on the home page of SFGate.com - look in the sub-navigation and you’ll see ‘Search for Nonprofits’ (see below - highlighted in yellow, circled in blue so you don’t miss it). 

Cool!

And they’ve just started turning on the links in other places.  Go to Green (it’s in the sub-nav in Living) and you’ll see ‘Get Involved’ about  2/3’s of the way down the page on the left rail - that’s us.  And we’re in Pets (also a sub-nav in Living) - right in the center about half way down you’ll also see ‘Get Involved’.

Just a thought…but…when, other than during some sort of major national or international disaster, could you find links to nonprofits from the home page of major newspapers?  Pretty sure the answer is ‘never’.
