And away we gooooooo!

Off to Dewey Beach, DE for the long Labor Day weekend.  Yeah!  Life is goooood!

The cobblers children.

So...just as the cobblers children had no shoes...we've been running around criss-crossing the country and have been neglecting the amazing nonprofits in our own backyard.

As many of you know, we have Boston Cares, Big Brothes Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay, and United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley as our launch partners in Boston.

Being in town this week has enabled us to see some terrific folks...and have some amazing discussions.  There's an awful lot of enthusiasm for what we're doing.  And that's putting it mildly.

Wednesday and Thursday we saw:

• Samaritans
• City Year
• Arts Boston
• YMCA of Greater Boston
• Greater Boston Food Bank

Kris and I were laughing about it today...we cannot believe that we get to go out and tell folks about what we're doing...the response is amazing.  It sure ain't work.

This week at good2gether.

In Providence on Monday:

• Volunteer Center of Rhode Island - they reach over 500 noprofits!
• United Way of Rhode Island - they have 30+ local nonprofit partners.

In Boston on Tuesday:

• United Way of Tri-County - we presented to 30 or so local nonprofits!
• Massachusetts Council of Human Service Providers - they reach 300 or so nonprofits.

More neat organizations doing cool stuff...and pretty much digging what we're doing.

I've been incredibly lucky in my career...done some pretty neat stuff...gotten to do some pretty neat things.

And nothing...and I mean NOTHING...comes close to good2gether!

PS Sitting in an au bon pain, doing email, drinking DP.  Life is good.

B'day lunch.

Kris, our nana of nonprofits, took me out on Monday for a birthday lunch to Mediterraneo while we were down in Providence for meetings.  Terrific place, good food.  Go.  Eat.

Boston Cares - Summer Nights, City Lights

Our very first sponsorship!  We were one of the sponsors for Boston Cares' Summer Nights, City Lights event. We love Boston Cares - they're one of our launch partners in Boston.

The only bummer? I couldn't go...I was on the road in TX...but some of our crew (L to R: Amy, Allison, Kris, Jong with the World Series Trophy) went and had a great time. Memo to myself - make sure I'm in Boston next year so that I can make the event. It's held at Fenway and was, by all accounts, really terrific.

The upside to travel.

There are a lot of downsides to all the travel I'm doing to get good2gether up and running.  But there is an occasional upside - see below.  Great-niece Caitlyn and great-nephew Carson who live in Austin.  Scary cute kids...love 'em like a pig loves slop!
